	A non-profit organization started by the disabled for the disabled in 1998, their primary objective is to provide people with disabilities with the necessary skills to be independent. Since its inception five years ago, DAMAI has contributed immensely towards this goal. They are proud to say that they have brought about significant changes in the lives of those who have approached them.

	The aim is to complement the efforts of the Government to enrich the lives of the disabled through training and building up their self confidence. Shuang Fu help them to achieve a breakthrough in their lives by teaching a skill to enable them to have better job opportunities. With self-sufficiency and self-confidence, they would hopefully be re integrated into society.

	The objects of the Society are to promote and protect the interest of its members, to foster mutual co-operation and friendship among members, to provide facilities for the purpose aforesaid and for recreation and social intercourse for the benefit of its members and to layout, prepare and maintain the same for the purpose of the Society., to purchase necessary equipment, stationery and other things required to be used in connection with the Society, to help in education, training, employment and resettlement of the Orthopaedically handicapped, to contribute to local and national charities and to grant donations for public purposes, to enter into reciprocal arrangements with other bodies so that members may enjoy the privilege, amenities and facilities of other bodies and vice versa, to render such needy members or groups of members such financial assistance or aid in kind as may be necessary and deemed fit by the Central Committee for the promotion of gainful employment of the members and to raise funds for the purpose aforesaid and to acquire take on lease, rent or otherwise deal with property or enter into joint venture or memoranda of understanding with 3rd parties in line with Society's objectives.
